Last Saturday, a day after my deadline, I had a lovely high tea with four of my high school friends at a place called ‘t Feithhuis in my home town. For €15,50 per person we had a nice assortment of baked goods and sandwiches, and man, were we stuffed at the end! It was actually the first time ever I had a high tea in a restaurant like this. I’ve been to high teas at people’s homes before, but this was nice to experience as well! We chatted, laughed and drank lots of tea and it was a great way to end those stressful midterms period. We all had a wonderful time and of course I decided to take some pictures!
We all got our own little (adorable) teapot and I had a delicious lemon tea. I always enjoy lemon tea, but this one had a really intense flavour, which I liked.
A delicious little quiche with mushrooms and egg.
Some sort of cornbread, I think. I’m not really familiar with the American cornbread, but I think this was it. It tasted good!
The classic lemon and poppy seed muffin.
The muffin in the back was so tasty! It had raisins in it and I think some whole wheat stuff.
What is a Dutch high tea without some apple pie?
I still haven’t figured out what the pink thing was, but it tasted quite good! Too bad I was already feeling quite stuffed at this point…!
