It’s been ages since I last did a Top Ten Tuesday – it was still hosted by The Broke and the Bookish back then, so that means this is my first TTT of the year. And it’s September. Whoops. Last week, I was reminded of this lovely prompt again, though, so I figured I’d participate again this week! It’s now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and the prompts are still just as fun and creative!
I think the reason why I stopped participating is that I sometimes find it difficult to come up with 10 books that actually really fit the prompt of the week. I don’t read as many books as some other book bloggers, so I sometimes felt like I was just repeating the same books over and over again. But I’m going to step past that insecurity and just get back on the horse, as they say, because Top Ten Tuesday is a ton of fun, and that’s what it’s all about!
So, let’s get straight to it! Here’s my top ten books by my favourite authors that I still haven’t read…
Some of these books I definitely still plan on reading, while others are still on my “maybe” list. I love all of these authors, though! Have you read any of these? What did you think of them? Leave a comment down below!
I read Mythos, and I certainly want to read the Benjamin Alire Sáenz you listed, because the one I’m reading right now is just as good as his more recent works.
He’s simply amazing!
I enjoyed listening to Stephen Fry’s Mythos. I’m not sure how I would have enjoyed reading it, as it wasn’t terribly linear, but the audiobook was really good!
If it was read by Mr Fry himself it must have been amazing! I’m currently reading it and it isn’t very linear, no, but I think I’d actually get more confused listening than reading. I’m enjoying it a lot!
I haven’t read 4 3 2 1 either despite loving Paul Auster. I’ll get round to it someday 😉
That’s what I keep telling myself as well! 😉
I still need to read Twinkle as well. I should have picked it up this summer, but just had too many other books on the TBR. Hope we borh end up loving it!
I hope we do! If it’s as good as When Dimple Met Rishi, I think we’ll be alright 😀
I loved The Scorpio Races and Carry On! I still need to read From Twinkle With Love though…
Don’t feel bad about not reading as much as other bloggers! I definitely don’t either. And yeah, sometimes I repeat books. But sometimes I just pick less than 10 books, if I can’t find enough books to fit the topic. I don’t think anyone minds 😀
That’s a good strategy as well! I might do that in the future too. Thanks, Jolien! 🙂
I really enjoyed Heartless. The Scorpio Races is decent, but I prefer Maggie Stiefvater’s Raven Cycle series. I enjoyed Daughter of Smoke and Bone and I read Shadow and Bone earlier this year, it was just ok, but apparently the rest of the trilogy is better.

I’ve heard mixed things about Heartless, but now I’m more excited to read it! I looove the Raven Cycle, whish is why’d Iove to read more Stiefvater too 🙂 Thanks for your comment!
No problem 🙂
Shadow and Bone is one of my favorites – The Grisha trilogy is SO good – I hope you love it too! Everything else on your list, with From Twinkle with Love being the one I’m most excited about, I need to read too!
I hope I get to read it soon, but there’s just too many books and too little time! :’)
I have been wanting to read The Scorpio Races for years. I don’t know why I haven’t. I also really want to read The Raven Cycle series by her.
I looove The Raven Cycle! It’s one of my favourite series ever 🙂
