Top Ten 2014 Releases I Meant To Read But Didn’t Get To

toptentuesday

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.

This week’s topic is 2014 releases I meant to read but didn’t get to. There were lots of books I wanted to read last year but didn’t get to, not just 2014 releases. I guess that’s the frustration of every book lover: so many books, so little time. As you’ll probably understand, I didn’t have much trouble picking out 10 books for this week… Since compiling this list, I’ve already read We Were Liars (and loved it), but the others are still to be read. I’m especially bummed that I didn’t get around to reading My True Love Gave To Me. I’d have loved to read and review that one around Christmas, but alas! Better luck next year!

toptentuesdayjanuary13

  1. The Rosie Effect by Graeme Simsion
  2. We Were Liars by E. Lockhart
  3. Landline by Rainbow Rowell
  4. The Silkworm by Robert Galbraith
  5. My True Love Gave To Me by Stephanie Perkins and others
  6. Prisoner of Night and Fog by Anne Blankman
  7. Everything Leads To You by Nina LaCour
  8. The Body Electric by Beth Revis
  9. You’re The One That I Want by Giovanna Fletcher
  10. Afterworlds by Scott Westerfeld

Which 2014 releases did you mean to read but still haven’t?

Hi! I'm Anne and I love reading, baking and writing about both of those things. Welcome!

  1. I’ve got We Were Liars on my list too so I was really glad to hear that you loved it. I absolutely love both of the Robert Galbraith books and thought that The Silkworm was particularly good. Great post!

    1. I hope you get to read We Were Liars soon, it’s such an amazing novel! Glad to hear you really liked The Silkworm, now I’m even more curious (I’m only on chapter 3 right now). Thank you!

  2. I really need to read another Rainbow Rowell book. I read Attachments a few years ago and really enjoyed it. Hope you enjoy these when you get around to reading them!

  3. I highly enjoyed Everything Leads to You, it was very different from the other YA contemporaries I read. I really want to read The Silkworm, Landline and We Were Liars too.

I hope you’ll enjoy these when you get to read them 😀

    1. Now I’m even more curious! 🙂 I read We Were Liars last week, and it was absolutely amazing. I’m currently reading The Silkworm, but I’m only on chapter 3 so can’t say much about it yet. I’m sure I’ll love it, though, because I loved The Cuckoo’s Calling as well. 🙂
      Thank you! 😀
